Many of the guests enjoyed meeting old and new friends in the upstairs
bar. The bar area was wall to wall people. As with all SGYC events in the
clubhouse, the serve yourself bar is a major gathering place. |

The dining area was decorated in a grand old movie extravaganza style,
complete with lion statues, spotlights and yards and yards of beautifully
draped fabric. All in preparation for welcoming the new year of 2003. |

Salad and dessert were served at the table by the fine catering staff while
the main course was served buffet style. The filet mignon, sliced to order,
and the sauteed mahi mahi were complemented by a vegetables medley with
wild rice and rolls. |

Dancing in the new year was the order of the night as many couples enjoyed
the danceable music provided by our disk jockey Anthony Vega. As the clock
struck midnight the balloons fell from the ceiling and we all toasted 2003. |

To start the new year we have installed, over the upstairs bar, the display of the various yacht clubs we have visited since becoming members of the SCYA. Thanks go to Cliff Meier and Merle McCormick for the installation of the burgee display. |
